Lectoure, Gers - a pre wedding photo session
A hot July afternoon in Lectoure, Gers, south west France, I met up with A & D ahead of their wedding at Chateau de Puissentut.
A pre wedding meeting and photo session is great for both myself and the couple as it allows us to get to know each other and means the couple are less stressed when I turn up with my cameras on the wedding day.
I had a lot of fun with this couple who were very much themselves.
Le Pelat, gascony
The track to Chateau Pelat which you arrive at from the outskirts of the large village of Jegun, Gers reveals glimpses of an ancient compound - a gate tower connected to a stone enclosure - the stone main house beyond, a circular tower attached.
Chateau de Puissentut
The chateau and grounds are just charming. Most of the work within the extensive garden, interiors & exteriors is taken on by Angela & D.K. They know every single inch and work hard to make sure that your event not only looks good but will run smoothly.
i’m obsessed with filming trees
I think that moving trees, leaf filled branches dancing in light and wind should be in every video. That said I also think trees should be in every photo. Not very practical but another of my creative fran-tastic ideas.
samedi - family documentary film
After a few months break I realised the gold that is having the family documentary films of my own family. Having recently revisited the Covid series of films that started me off I was stunned by how much the kids had changed within a matter of months.
