dreams of a chateau wedding

With La Boutique Event - wedding planners

An ancient gate sits pushed open against a high stone pillar. The old entrance brings you past the gatehouse into the park. It is November. Giant and dry leaves from mature plane trees swirl in low, small circles yet the overall impression is of green - not of a garden about to sleep over winter.

The front of the chateau resembles a large country house. It belies the expanse of the L shaped main building together with the ancient ruins of a fort and an English style balustrade terrace/promenade across the top of the old ramparts leading to a tower or possibly former pigeonnier. It is this south/south west facing aspect, constructed on a hill which is the first part of the Chateau you see upon approach from the Condom/Montreal road. And it is impressive.

Part of the front facade which over looks a curved drive, green lawns, trees and various old stone buildings for extra accommodation.

The hall, upon entering displays a striking iron staircase which curves up and around to the upper floor.

Luminous - the tall elegant windows flood with soft late afternoon light.

The chateau’s interior is stylish and comfortable. Muted colours invite you to step into high ceilinged rooms. The striking view of Gascon countryside visible and framed through long windows is complemented and not distracted by the tasteful decor. Everything is in harmony.

Can you imagine yourself here?

Having spent some hours photographing the chateau and grounds I can confirm that this will make a stunning wedding venue.
